The Energy Hog campaign was founded by Energy Outreach Colorado, the Colorado Governor’s Energy Office (GEO) and the Ad Council and was made possible by the generous support of many partners. The Energy Hog Public Service Advertising campaign ran for four years and ended in August 2008. Currently, the Energy Hog mascot travels to schools across the U.S. to educate elementary students about the importance of saving energy.

We thank the current sponsors of the Energy Hog School Program who inspire teachers to introduce energy education to thousands of students each year. They include:

Current Energy Store

The Colorado Governor’s Energy Office

Schools For Energy Efficiency, Minnesota

North Dakota Department of Commerce

Ohio Department of Development; Ohio Energy Office

Wyoming Business Council

New Jersey Natural Gas

Results
are already adding up. In 2004 alone, Americans, with
the help of ENERGY STAR, saved enough energy to power
24 million homes and avoid greenhouse gas emissions equivalent
to those from 20 million cars – all while saving $10 billion.
